Hollesley Parish Council are sad to report that Sgt Cullum has retired from the Police Force. He has been our area sergeant for many years and we wish him well in his retirement.

We are delighted to report that Anne Hardwick was co-opted on to Hollesley Parish Council at the July meeting. Anne has lived in Hollesley for 4 years and is a teacher. She has interests in the environment, young people and bringing local businesses and residents together and we wish Anne a very happy career as a Parish Councillor.
Please be aware that Hollesley Parish Council will be discussing a recent application for 5 new houses in the village, at their meeting on 1st June.
The meeting will be held at Hollesley Village Hall, starting at 7.30pm but the plans will be on view from 7.00pm

If you travel to and from Alderton or Bawdsey you will have noticed the improvements made to the Black Ditch Bridge. New signs are up and we have relocated our SID there this month. Further road markings are promised but we hope these measures will encourage traffic to slow down.
Following the resignation of Mr Chris Walker, Hollesley Parish Council now have a new Chair and Vice-Chair. Cllr. Helen Lewis has stepped up to the role of Chair and Cllr. Andy Palmer to the role of Vice-Chair. We wish them both well with their future.
We are very pleased to report that the Parish Council's Craft and Cake Bazaar was extremely successful and raised £590.53. We would like to thank everyone who helped to make it such a successful morning (too many to name!) and to everyone who came along to support us.
