Many of you will have seen the Grapevine message sent in August regarding improvements to the number 71 bus that serves some of the Deben Ward villages.

From 1st September, 5 new daily buses will travel between Sutton Heath (the bus stop opposite the shop) to Woodbridge (Turban Centre), leaving at 9.20am, 11.20am, 1.20pm, 2.50pm and 4.50pm; with a bus on Saturdays leaving at 3.35pm. The return journeys leave the Turban Centre at 9.05am, 11.05am, 1.05pm, 2.35pm and 4.35pm; with buses leaving at 3.20pm and 5.35pm on a Saturday.

These buses are in addition to the regular service that runs between Orford and Martlesham Heath (leaving Hollesley Water Tower at 7.20am and leaving the Turban Centre at 5.45pm). We are very pleased to report that the Station Staff Officer at Rock Barracks has given permission for anyone wishing to catch these additional buses to park in the car park next to Sandlings Primary School, adjacent to the AstroTurf Multi-Use Games Area.
